The integrated payments solution will enable ChargeBee’s customers to streamline their billing and payment services.

ChargeBee — a Chennai-based online subscription and recurring billing management solutions provider — recently announced its partnership with payment processing provider Worldpay.

Through the partnership, ChargeBee's customers will benefit from an integrated payments solution for subscription billing. "[The solution will enable our customers] to streamline their billing and payment services, providing enhanced efficiency and helping to drive results for their business," said Krish Subramanian, co-founder and CEO of ChargeBee.

ChargeBee's customers will be provided an online subscription billing platform for package subscriptions or recurring payments that could help deliver a secure and consistent experience for a consumers' preferred payment method or marketplace. This will hasten their speed to market, while saving on development costs and resources, according to ChargeBee and Worldpay.

"Recurring payments and subscription models are becoming more popular, as consumers adapt their consumption habits to pay only for those items and services they wish to use. Our partnership with ChargeBee is a natural synergy, which delivers choice, value and peace of mind to companies using subscription billing, or those looking to adopt this model to help them grow globally," saidKevin Dallas, Chief Product and Marketing Officer, Global eCommerce at Worldpay.

Currently, the integrated payments solution is being used by more than 20 businesses of all sizes around the world.

One of them is Freshdesk, a cloud based customer support software provider. According to the company, the integrated payments solution has enabled it to reach a broader client base by offering multi-currency payments to its customers around the world.

"With the solution, we have been able to scale quickly by accepting payments in local currencies and settle back into our currency of choice. Working with Worldpay has also opened up opportunities in Asia and Latin America for us by enabling alternative payment methods where credit card penetration is low.Since we went live, we have seen our credit card acceptance rates increase by 5 percent," said Girish Mathrubootham, CEO of Freshdesk.
