Managed hosting company, BlueCentral, is increasing its play in the mission critical hosting space by focusing on three key attributes — technical innovation, support, and commercial flexibility.
BlueCentral managing director, George Kazangi, said the company has named the entire offering 'Cloud on your terms,' enabling the customer to scale the Cloud offered by BlueCentral to their preferences.
"Businesses are delaying projects and they are so agile that people don't know what holds for them in 12 months so they need a month to month to month contract. Any component we have, the contract is flexible enough for customers to leave when they want to," he said.
According to Kazangi, businesses are putting off projects as a result of uncertainty in the Government, the fluctuating economic state and what the NBN is going to look like after the Federal elections.
"The uncertainty is delaying projects and that is why we will have to offer price matching if the NBN is priced cheaper in the next six months," he claimed.
Kazangi mentioned that the company is actively seeking businesses that are developing network intense applications to be used over the NBN.
He also highlighted the importance of businesses adopting an outsourced, managed hosting service.
"There are stats that say Australia is 90 per cent in the Cloud. They are, but it is virtualisation instead of an outsourced, managed hosting service."
Kazangi added that he expects many SMBs to outsource their internal IT requirements and expects consolidation within the managed hosting space to grow in the next 36 months.
He also mentioned BlueCentral's intention to offer desktop as a service solutions by October, targeting the education vertical.
