Cloud hosting services and managed solutions provider, Axelera, has launched a new Cloud platform and managed services offering in Australia. The new services aim to provide local businesses with computing resources to scale on demand as their business needs evolve.

Axelera's managed Cloud services can be deployed in a public, private or hybrid platform and include a suite of services ranging from applications and collaboration software (Sharepoint, SQL Server and databases) through to disaster recovery solutions and computing and storage on demand.

In addition, the scalable service provides compute resources as required, multi-tier storage, and managed or DIY networking features.

Axelera CEO, Vic Cinc, said the managed services offered through the Microsoft Azure platform add value to the company's existing managed Cloud platform and enables organisations to monitor the performance of the applications and infrastructure.

He mentioned the new services offer users even greater choice in the deployment of Cloud services.

"In recent years, we have seen that IaaS has simply become just a stepping stone in Cloud computing.

"Today, users want a fully managed service in the Cloud and prefer to work with an expert partner in their space, which can offer a managed services practice, including application development sourcing, digital asset management and networking.

"Not only do we offer these services but we aim to solve user challenges around internal resourcing in managing multiple external third-party IT vendors. We also can become an extension of our client's team assisting customers to manage their hybrid or total Cloud across both VMware and HyperV operating environments and providing assistance both on site or remotely," he added.

Axelera is targeting companies and not-for-profit organisations within the mid-sized Australian business market.

Also, in supporting that services growth, the company's opened a national connectivity network through two tier III datacentres, including Global Switch in Sydney and NEXTDC in Melbourne.
