The Thai agro-industry and food business uses a cloud-based application delivered on the Ariba Network to lower costs and boost efficiency

Organisations might gain a competitive edge by leveraging digital networks to better engage customers and collaborate with partners across their commerce process.

One organisation that has experienced the benefits of doing so is the Betagro Group. By using Ariba Sourcing On Demand, a cloud-based application delivered on the Ariba Network, the Thai agro-industry and food business has managed to improve its efficiency and reduce costs.

According to Nopparat Suwanwalaigorn, procurement information system senior division manager, Betagro, the solution has helped improve the performance of its manufacturing process as well as to manage its growing local and overseas business. "With Ariba Sourcing On Demand, we have been able to automate key manufacturing and business processes and collaborate more efficiently with our suppliers."

Suwanwalaigorn added that Betagro has seen a reduction in costs of about seven percent since the implementation of Ariba Sourcing On Demand. "[The solution has also enabled us to] perform rapid data analysis and achieve better insights into information, which helps us make timely, well-informed decisions."

Ariba is an SAP company that provides global business commerce network. It combines cloud-based applications with a web-based trading community to help companies discover and collaborate with a global network of partners.
