Barracuda Networks announces Data Protection Plus initiative

Announced are enhancements to cloud-connected backup, archiving and productivity solutions, as well as acquisition of C2C Systems.

Barracuda Networks Inc. has announced its Data Protection Plus strategic initiative to help customers access, share and retain critical data from anywhere and any device.

A press statement by the Campbell, Modoc county, California-based vendor of storage products said the initiative consists of enhancements and new releases of its portfolio of cloud-connected backup, archiving and productivity solutions.

It also consists of its acquisition of C2C Systems Ltd., the United Kingdom-based provider of information management , email archiving and PST management solutions.


Specifically, the initiative is made up of releases of Barracuda Version 6.0 and Barracuda Message Archiver Version 4.0.

Likewise, it is made up of the additions of file and message archiving,eDiscovery and PST management solutions.

At the same time, there is now Barracuda Copy Site server, an on-premise device enabling onsite and cloud-based file sync and share for optimized access, performance and security.

Also released is the Barracuda SignNow  Appliance, a new on-premise device enabling organizations to share, sign and collaborate in a secure environment.

The press statement claimed that with Barracuda's solutions, customers will be able to simplify their IT infrastructure and centrally manage their solutions.
