Microsoft invites reporters to see what's next for Windows 10—and maybe Surface

The "future of Windows 10" implies a conceptual discussion, and not just a hardware reveal.

“Kaby Lake” upgrades to the Surface Pro 4 look like they’re not going to happen.

All that will serve as a backdrop to what we believe is the real point of the event: the expected Surface all-in-one. A Surface-colored mouse and keyboard emerged in FCC filings this week, leading to the conclusion that a Surface AIO would soon follow. But what about rumored Kaby Lake upgrades to the Surface lineup? We’re hearing that won’t happen at this event.

In any event, we’ll all find out in a few weeks’ time.
