How we test Windows system performance

A quick rundown of how we assess the performance of Windows computers.

Also when applicable, we record the peak temperature of the system using an infrared thermometer. We may also use a power meter to measure how much electricity each system uses while running and while asleep.

Finally, we see how the device fits into the typical corporate IT landscape by connecting it to a Minix Neo C hub, a Vivitek Qumi Q6 projector, a SanDisk Fit flash drive, a Monster iClarity wireless speaker and a TeckNet USB Gigabit Ethernet Converter. Then, we wirelessly print documents using an HP Color LaserJet M452 printer on our office network.
