Networking solutions vendor, Silver Peak Systems has formed alliances with Infoblox, Nutanix and Zscaler as it seeks to build its ecosystem for software defined wide-area networks (SD-WANs) that take advantage of its UnityEdgeConnect appliance.
According to a press statement from Silver Peak, the alliances have been formed to provide a new set of secure, optimised and interoperable hardware and software solutions for deployment of broadband and hybrid WANs .
These solutions are meant to reduce branch office operating and capital expenses when connecting users to applications. The lower expenses could be achieved by way of a simplified deployment resulting into a thin branch office architecture.
Infoblox is an IT management tool vendor that provides solutions for managing Internet devices and identifying devices on networks. These consist of solutions for domain name systems, (DNS) dynamic host configuration protocols (DHCP) and IP address management.
Nutanix is a vendor of virtual computing platforms, while Zscaler is a provider of cloud-based security solutions.
Silver Peak said customers would gain flexibility, visibility and control, and improved network performance and savings from these new alliances.
