MyStream, Nevigate form strategic partnership

The French network operator seeks stronger presence in Asia

Paris-based MyStream and Singapore-based Nevigate Communications (Singapore) Pte Ltd. have entered into a strategic partnership as the former seeks to strengthen its presence in Asia.

A joint statement by the two network operators said Nevigate will handle virtual private network connectivity (VPN) services in Asia required by MyStream end-users.

The statement said the partnership is in line with MyStream's objective to create a network able to span the entire globe through interconnections with indirect partners in various countries.

Win-Win

"This is a win-win partnership as we also call upon Nevigate's expertise to support our French clients to expand their activity in Asia," according to the statement as it quoted MyStream founder and sales director Cyril Wellenstein.

MyStream is an international operator of IP networks and enters into partnerships with local companies in countries where it has clients.

On the other hand, Nevigate is a virtual network operator (VNO) working with multiple providers and partners to purchase connectivity capacity.

Nevigate then uses its virtual network overlay to operate a carrier-independent and carrier-neutral network that is then offered to customers.

It has entered into strategic partnerships with other operators, because no carrier can offer 100% global coverage.

"Reliable and responsive partners are critical to our success, and core to our business model," the statement said quoting Nevigate managing director GK Tan as saying.

Nevigate has regional offices in Cyprus, China, Hong Kong, Malaysia, and the United Arab Emirates.
