Brandon Butler | April 29, 2015
The 29th annual networking conference is in Las Vegas this week.

Another hot trend to watch will be hyperconvergence. During the past half-decade converged infrastructure has emerged to provide customers greater efficiencies by pre-packaging compute, network and storage appliances into a bundled package. Hyperconverged appliances take the concept a step further by combining those functions into a single appliance in many cases.

Cisco's Executive Vice President of Industry Solutions Wim Elfrink will discuss the Internet of Things and a panel discussion will highlight what it takes to manage a mobile workforce. Users will share their stories, too, during keynotes, including Boston Red Sox's Vice President of IT Brian Shield and the CIO of La Quinta Inns and Suites, Vivek Shaiva.
