Extreme Networks is providing integrated network infrastructure to support expansion of Galaxy Macau.
Located in Cotai, Macau, the Asian resort destination added two new hotels and required a high performance and scalable network infrastructure to keep pace with its expanding operations.
The new Extreme Networks infrastructure ensures Galaxy Macau has a reliable mobile network access over wireless platforms to serve its guests.
Guests leverage the Wi-Fi network solution to easily access the various mobile applications using their own mobile devices, such as laptops and tablets.
The chosen network infrastructure provided guests with easy access to WLAN capabilities in their rooms, and deliver seamless mobile connectivity throughout the resort.
"With Extreme Networks, we are confident that we are working with a partner that is capable of meeting our growing network requirements. They have delivered a robust and integrated network solution that supports thousands of new mobile devices and applications," said Ian Farnsworth, director of Information Systems & Technology at Galaxy Entertainment Group.
Increased visibility and control
As Galaxy Macau now has increased visibility and control over its entire network infrastructure it requires only four team members to manage the network.
Galaxy Macau's robust, highly scalable network can accommodate additional infrastructure and services.
The Asian resort has worked with Extreme Networks previously and collaborated on deploying its network infrastructure in 2011.
Implementation for this new phase started in April 2014 and was completed in October of the same year.
"Extreme Networks proved to be a knowledgeable and highly responsive technology partner for our Phase 2 development, and the local team demonstrated that they were well-equipped to address our evolving business requirements," added Farnsworth. "We are confident that Extreme Networks will continue supporting us in transforming our network infrastructure and adapting to future demands."
