Dell introduces new networking solutions for small, medium-sized businesses

Dell will further boost its networking portfolio through its introduction of solutions specifically designed to meet the needs of small and medium-sized businesses.

A press statement by the Round Rock, Texas-based IT vendor said the new solutions will consist of the following: the Dell Networking X-Series Web-managed 1 gigabit and 10 gigabit Ethernet switches, Dell Networking  N1500 family of fully managed I gigabit Ethernet  switches and extended support for the W-series family of wireless access points and controllers.

Intuitive and Enterprise-class

The press statement described the Dell Networking X-series as intuitive and enterprise-class switches that have no need for professional IT support.

It described the Dell Networking N 1500 family of 1 GBE switches as enabling small and medium-sized businesses to deploy a secure network optimised for VoIP and social environments.

At the same time, the press statement assured wireless customers and partners of Dell's commitment to support the W-series of wireless access points and controllers without interruption throughout the product lifecycle.
