BT broadband customers across the UK were not able to access major websites on Saturday.
BT, which has around 7 million UK broadband customers, was forced to apologise for the problem, but has not said what caused it.
BT customers took to Twitter to complain about the connectivity problem, saying they could not access the Facebook, eBay and Amazon pages for instance, and to make matters worse they also couldn't view BT's own customer service site to report the problem.
BT did respond via Twitter though. A post on @BTCare said, "Sorry about the issues many of you had accessing the internet this morning. Problem is now fixed - sorry for any trouble caused."
A BT spokeswoman confirmed, "There were problems with our broadband service earlier today but they were resolved. We're sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused."
