Networking solutions specialist Brocade has delivered a new networking infrastructure to Indian financial services provider Geojit BNP Paribas.
The new networking infrastructure has been deployed at the Kochi headquarters of Geojit BNP Paribas providing the firm with over 1,100 wire-speed Gigabit Ethernet access ports, more carrying power, and a scalable and resilient low-latency core.
The deployment provides a strong foundation for business expansion and new service offerings for Geojit BNP Paribas, an affiliate of one of the world's largest financial groups, and a pioneer of on-line securities trading in India.

Brocade's BigIron RX-8 Ethernet switch will be at the heart of Geojit BNP Paribas new network and will provide up to 384 non-blocking Gigabit Ethernet (GbE) or 128 10-GbE ports in a compact chassis with 1.92 Tbps of total switching capacity.
Designed for non-stop operation, Brocade's high capacity BigIron RX-8 Ethernet switch enables Geojit BNP Paribas to connect all access switches directly to the network core.
This not only reduces the firm's total cost of ownership but also eliminates latency caused by having an aggregation layer.
