Sacombank partners CyberSource for online payment solutions

CyberSource has teamed up with Sacombank to provide the Vietnamese retail bank with eCommerce solutions, CyberSource announced today.

Wholly-owned subsidiary of Visa, payment management company CyberSource will provide payment and fraud prevention solutions to support the bank's merchant customers, the statement said.

The agreement will provide merchant customers of Sacombank with the ability to protect sensitive data and prevent fraud, while allowing maximum acceptance of legitimate transactions, according to the announcement.

CyberSource has been working closely with Sacombank to bring eCommerce payment services into Vietnam, where there were 26.8 million Internet users by the end of 2010, as reported by German research house yStats.com

The Vietnamese retail bank hopes the partnership will help build continued confidence among merchants launching their eCommerce businesses.

Sacombank and CyberSource signed the agreement on 27 June at an undisclosed price.
