The Philippine National Police (PNP) has launched the new Information Technology Management Service (ITMS) website-formerly called the Computer Service- to better serve the public.
The launching of the ITMS is part of the initiatives of PCSupt Edwin Jose G. Nemenzo, director of ITMS.
The new website features a chat function to allow visitors to communicate with the PNP in real-time. "For the government to be effective, it needs to embrace the platforms that are being used daily by the public. The new ITMS website makes it easy to share its information on social media. Integration and centralisation of online communication and information sharing is the way forward," said PNP in a press statement.
The ITMS also features a language translation service to increase the engagement with foreign website visitors. In addition, the ITMS seamlessly adapts to every major device and browsers.
A lineup of other features is also in the works as the ITMS continues to shift from a newspaper-type website to a more engaging and integrated online web. As such, the PNP encourages the website visitors to answer the survey in the ITMS to help them improve the website services.
