More amount and diversity of foreign language content is available in China thanks to the newly released CNP eReading platform.
Launched by Publishing Technology, a provider of content solutions for publishers, and CNPIEC, the China National Publications Import and Export (Group) Corporation, the eReading platform gives international academic publishers more access to the Chinese market.
More than 200,000 book titles from more than 300 international publishers are now available to the readers in the country through this digital hub.
This site is developed by Publishing Technology and will be managed by CNPIEC. The new site is available to readers in both English and Mandarin.
“We have worked closely with Publishing Technology to deliver a product which has the potential to greatly widen the amount and diversity of foreign language content available in China,” said Bogen Liu, vice president of China Publishing Group and president of CNPIEC. “Publishing Technology’s affiliation with publishers across the globe has significantly extended the volume of international content we can offer our customers.”
Expansion in future
The total number of book titles is set to increase in the next year as Publishing Technology intends to invite its 250 ingentaconnect customers to host over 12,000 journal publications on the platform.
International publishers now have an opportunity to make more number of foreign language journals and e-books available to readers in China.
