LinkedIn's new Sales Navigator to drive social selling

Now available across APAC, the new version is a standalone that is compatible with mobile web and CRM systems.

Business-oriented social networking site LinkedIn has launched the new version of Sales Navigator, a sales prospecting tool powered by social selling.

In a press statement, LinkedIn said that the new Sales Navigator builds on the previous version, which was embedded in the LinkedIn site. It is now a standalone that is compatible with mobile web and customer relationship management systems such as Salesforce.

Since LinkedIn's Social Selling Index Survey found that social sellers are 51 percent more likely to beat their quota than traditional sellers, Sales Navigator aims to "harness the era of social selling," said Hari Krishnan, managing director for Asia Pacific and Japan at LinkedIn. The service will do so by leveraging its network of 316 million members to connect sales professionals to buyers and vice versa.

Sales Navigator is currently available across the Asia Pacific region in English. Customers that are ready to jump onboard the service include SAP, EMC, Fuji Xerox, British Telecom and PayPal Australia.
