HCL partners with hybris for omni-channel enhancement

Alliance eyes expanded Middle East digital media market

IT services firm HCL Technologies forged a partnership with commerce platform provider hybris to offer end-to-end omni-channel commerce solutions and integration services to global customers.

The partnership calls for HCL developing customised solutions, tools and storefront accelerators based on the hybris Commerce Suite that focus on vertical segments such as consumer products, media, entertainment, retail, telecom and manufacturing.

HCL said the partnership will strengthen its portfolio of omni-channel commerce solutions while hybris can leverage HCL's footprint in the digital media commerce market. hybris can also tap into HCL's strength in global businesses and infrastructure in some markets in regions such as the Middle East.

Customers, on the other hand, can benefit from the HCL-hybris partnership with solutions that can help improve the quality of their own customers' buying experience, which in return, will extend brand loyalty and spending.

Market access

hybris vice-president for channel Frank Schoutissen said HCL Technologies is a "real asset" to his company. He also recognised HCL's strength in vertical markets such as the digital media, and the company's global brand portfolio.

"We are now developing joint services and solutions with HCL to help customers of both companies gain the most from their omni-channel sales operations and we look forward to seeing the benefits that these will bring," Schoutissen said.

For his part, Sanjeev Nikore, HCL Technologies senior corporate vice president and concurrent president for consumer services and manufacturing, said: "hybris' state-of-the-art commerce platform along with our domain expertise, solutions and storefront accelerators will help us enable omni-channel transformations across a number of key vertical industries."
