Insurance company China PingAn Group has launched its "PingAn WiFi" Roaming Data service via WeChat to enable its users to be connected to the Internet when traveling abroad.

PingAn has integrated three mobile network operators in mainland China and over 20 wireless service providers to allow its users access over 20 million free domestic hotspots. The mobile network operators include China Mobile, CSL Mobile, and New Bridge Technology in Hong Kong.

Users of the new service can also check their data usage within their WeChat Subscription account.

Prior launching the PingAn Roaming Data, the company said its "PingAn WiFi" had already arranged over 1.2 million one-click connected Wi-Fi hotspots in 116 countries across the globe. In line, PingAn said they are currently cooperating with internet service providers in Japan, Thailand, and South Korea to expand its service.
