Telin Singapore to launch third data centre at Jurong’s Data Centre Park

This new facility will be built to meet multi-tier design, construct and operate to meet mission critical and high power computing applications and operational requirements.

Telin Singapore, a subsidiary of PT Telekomunikasi Indonesia International, announced last Friday (June 5, 2015) that it has embarked on the construction of its third data centre at Singapore's Data Centre Park (DCP) in Jurong.

This Data Centre and Telecommunication Hub will be branded as Telin-3, and is slated to be completed by the third quarter of 2016.

According to the company, this new five-storey facility will seek to address the growing demand for data centre services to support Singapore's Smart Nation vision, as well as the demand from regional and global markets.

Telin-3 will be built to meet multi-tier design, construct and operate to meet mission critical and high power computing applications and operational requirements. It will be able to provide highly reliable, secured, redundant, fault tolerance and concurrent maintainability for mechanical cooling and power systems.

Our investment in Telin-3 will solidify Telin Singapore's position as a strategic hub for Telkom Group to connect Indonesia to the rest of the world," said Alex J. Sinaga, Group CEO of PT Telkom Indonesia.

"Telin-3 is our second partnership with EDB, IDA and JTC after our first facility in Changi. Telkom Group has invested heavily in the last few years to build and to acquire strategic assets and now we will house our existing and future infrastructure at Telin-3 upon completion," added Septika Noegraheni Widyasrini, CEO of Telin Singapore.
