IT services firm Strateq Data Centre (Strateq) has won the 2013 Frost & Sullivan Malaysia Excellence Award in the Best Managed Service Provider of the Year category for its performance in areas that include customer service, technology innovation and strategic product development.
During the presentation of the award to Strateq, group chief executive officer Datuk Ir Dr Ahmad Fikri Hussein said the award was recognition of the company's client-centric approach to the delivery of IT services.

"Strateq in 2012 has taken the vertical approach by working with players in the healthcare, oil & gas industry and government sectors," said Periakarruppan.
Fourth data centre in view
Strateq's Ahmad Fikri said that the company has two data centres in Malaysia and one data centre in Singapore, totalling more than 100,000 sq. ft. space. It has successfully managed more than 40 actual declared disasters and more than 3,000 business continuity and disaster recovery tests.
"Strateq is finalising its expansion plan for a fourth data centre in the Klang Valley area," he said. "To keep our world-class service ahead, we will continue to grow our competitive advantages to new heights through continuous deployment of leading technologies such as coming out with a range of cloud-based data centre and business continuity services that will cater to our clients' evolving business requirements."
