To meet a rapidly changing market, data centre infrastructure solutions firm Emerson Network Power has merged its enterprise, telecom and industrial teams in Asia into a regional market management organisation under a Malaysia based head.
Emerson Network Power's Asia president Anand Sanghi said Malaysian Chee Hoe Ling, who is based in Kuala Lumpur, has been promoted to vice president of regional market management organisation (MMO).
Sanghi said the merged team will provide a more comprehensive portfolio of value-added services, which include products and solutions; competitive bids and proposals; pricing; sound technical expertise; value engineering and market development activities.
He said this move is linked to businesses demanding a higher criticality from their support infrastructure, resulting in larger data centres and a stronger bottom line focus.
Businesses are being challenged to meet all efficiency, availability and scalability needs, while utilizing the best innovation and ensuring rapid deployment, said Sanghi.
"As businesses grow more digital, so does their reliance on critical infrastructure that will support the rapid generation of data and keep core operations running," said he said. "Customers nowadays are looking for solution providers and not just product vendors, and this market shift is something we see being addressed with Chee Hoe heading our regional market management organisation."
Chee Hoe Ling has 20 years of experience in the telecommunications and utilities industry, having worked in Siemens, Cap Gemini, Nortel Networks, Accenture and Maxis. Nearly half of his career has been spent in Emerson Network Power, which has afforded to him regional experience of different market verticals.
"The objective behind merging industrial with our telecom and enterprise business is to leverage on best practices and processes which has consistently given us results through the years," said Chee Hoe. "Emerson Network Power has always prided itself for being a total solutions provider, a brand promise we look to uphold in our go-to-market strategies."
