Global energy management specialist Schneider Electric continues to promote the efficient, green management of energy with the hosting of an exclusive screening of the 3D animated movie, Epic, at TGV Sunway Pyramid, which included children of San Pedro Charity Home as guests.
Schneider Electric IT Business Malaysia's energy sales manager, Chan Jian Wen said: "The moral of the story [Epic] is about conserving the environment and it relates perfectly with Schneider Electric's corporate stance on energy efficiency and sustainability."
"The implementation of environmental-conscious policies requires complete and reliable product environmental impact information," said Chan. "In this context, Schneider Electric commits to inform and provide its customers with Product Environmental Profile (PEP) in full compliance to the ISO 14025 PEP eco-passport Program and for all its products and solutions."
Chan said Schneider Electric recently introduced its Green Premium Product range such as the Smart UPS models, labelled with the Green Premium Product logo. "This guarantees customers support for their environmental policies, as it helps calculate carbon footprint, anticipate and ensure full regulation compliance, especially chemicals, and make the eco design of solutions easier."
"The Green Premium eco-mark gives IT managers a complete view of their UPS environmental profile, helping them to know exactly how much carbon the products will emit during usage, as well as how it affects land, water, and air around the IT room.," said Chan. "Knowing this information before the purchase, implementation, and use of a product will allow tremendous gains to IT room operators."
"With today's global environmental concerns, it is important that we embrace environmentally friendly processes and policies with our newly designed products for businesses," added Chan. "New environmental trends, such as the need for global energy security, the desire for minimal product impact on the biodiversity, and increased social and regulatory pressures as a result of environmental, safety, and climate change concerns drive the adoption of eco-marks. We want our customers to recognise us as reliable 'green' partners."
