Juniper Networks has created a secure, high-performance, scalable core, access and data centre network infrastructure at Standard Chartered sites in Singapore, Beijing and New York.
The company has been chosen as a strategic network provider to Standard Chartered Bank, which has deployed Juniper Networks' campus network solution at its sites.
The deployment was made following Standard Chartered's decision to consolidate the majority of its business operations in Singapore into two new locations.
Standard Chartered's first location is at Marina Bay Financial Center where the bank has its trading floor, and the second location is at Changi Business Park, a key location for the bank's group technology and operations function.
The implementation of Juniper Networks' campus network solution was successful at both Singapore locations and this encouraged the bank to deploy similar systems at new sites in New York and Beijing.
Lower up-front costs
Juniper's Virtual Chassis fabric technology enables Standard Chartered to grow its campus networks incrementally without incurring large up-front costs.
The bank is also using Juniper Networks SRX series Services Gateways within its campus, branch and data centre networks as part of its security capability set.
Thanks to Juniper, Standard Chartered is able to employ a uniform, centrally-managed security policy framework that reduces complexity, risk and operating costs.
"Standard Chartered Bank is a tier-one financial institution that depends on its information infrastructure to accommodate growth and maximise revenue," said Douglas Murray, senior vice president, Asia Pacific at Juniper Networks.
"We are delighted that the Bank has selected Juniper Networks as a strategic network provider."
