Emerson Network Power, a business of Emerson, launched today the Liebert CRV 300mm - its new row-based cooling solution designed for small- and medium- sized data centres and network closet applications.
Now available throughout Asia, this solution provides maximum cooling capacity with minimum footprint. It is built for both hot-aisle and cold-aisle configurations and can be deployed in data centres with raised or non-raised floor environments. Integrated with Emerson's Knurr CoolFlex technology, this solution effectively addresses problems with local hot spots and high heat density on racks.
According to the company, the new Liebert CRV is rated to perform over 3.3 EER (Energy Efficiency Ratio). Its built-in DC inverter scroll compressor operates with the R410A eco-friendly coolant, and cooling capacity can be adjusted from 30 percent to 100 percent depending on requirements. This flexibility greatly reduces the frequency of start-stop operations of the compressor, making it more stable and reliable.
It also comes in a compact 300 millimeter width to fit seamlessly within a row of racks to deliver energy efficient, high-capacity cooling close to the server heat source. Such small footprint is also ideal for modular deployments, and offers double the footprint capacity of the standard air-cooled row-based system.
Modularity also allows the Liebert CRV 300mm to closely adapt to the dynamic change of heat load in small- and medium-sized data centres, significantly reducing start-stop cycles compared to the conventional compressors, ensuring a more stable and reliable operation.
