ICT solutions and services provider, Dimension Data, announced today that it has completed a data centre migration and core business systems upgrade for Indonesian insurance company Jiwasraya.
With Jiwasraya experiencing growth and expansion, its legacy data centre infrastructure was struggling to scale and meet the rising requirements of the business and its customers. As a result, Jiwasraya's IT team decided to embark on data centre relocation, and an upgrade of its core business systems.
According to a media statement, Jiwasraya selected Dimension Data to take on this task due to its ability to provide a complete end-to-end solution, coupled with the wealth of experience in delivering similar projects, and strong partnership with multiple vendors.
Dimension Data's Professional Services team consulted with Jiwasraya's IT team on the planning and design of its new data centre. The team also provided advice on technology, hardware, migration, installation, relocation services and project management.
Thereafter, the Dimension Data team built a new core business system for Jiwasraya and replicated its old database into the new data centre. With a new and enhanced data centre in place, Jiwasraya is now benefitting from the high availability of its applications and data, as well as a faster core business system, according to the company.
"We knew the migration and upgrade of our data centre would be a major undertaking, but with Dimension Data, the process was straight-forward and hassle-free," said Ari Faizal Aliaini, Head of IT Division at Jiwasraya. "Thanks to the team, we were able to put in place the best solution that is truly scalable and flexible for our business. The Dimension Data team was there to test and consult at every stage of the process and even provided us with a dedicated engineer to take care of our data centre operation."
