CW: Your earlier roles in channel management must help you plenty with this new portfolio.

PAL: I have a deep exposure to channels, which comes very handy for product positioning and branding. But today, it is more of a composite of product and systems. I might say, the horizons have broadened—with a mix of traditional engineering and the rigors of software engineering, bringing best practices of each to my current role. As organizational equations between revenue generation and revenue management streams become complex, it becomes critical that we understand how to think global and act local; sound principles will always stand in good stead.
