Veeam cloud providers (VCP) will be able to seamlessly deploy Veeam Cloud Connect in Microsoft Azure and VMware vCloud Air

Veeam Software is now collaborating with Microsoft Corp. and Vmware to ensure that Veeam cloud providers (VCP) will be able to seamlessly deploy Veeam Cloud Connect in Microsoft Azure and VMware vCloud Air, according to a press statement by the Baar, Switzerland-based provider of backup, disaster recovery and virtualization software.

It said Veeam Cloud Connect forms part of the new Veeam Availability Suite 8 which will be available late this year.

The solutions suite provides Veeam customers a fully integrated, secure and efficient means to move backups to an offsite backup repository managed by a service provider of their choice.

An earlier press statement by Veeam said that on the same day the Veeam Availability Suite v8 becomes available, it will announce the list of Veeam Cloud Provider (VCP) partners able to support Cloud Connect.
