Enterprise solutions provider SAP has called on business partners in Malaysia to leverage its intelligent ecosystem to fuel further business growth.
Speaking recently at a partner reception held in Kuala Lumpur, SAP's Southeast Asia president & managing director Scott Russell encouraged the company's partner community to continue "strengthening bonds" to realise mutual growth for all concerned: for SAP, partners, customers and the ecosystem as a whole.
"SAP today has the necessary tools, resources and benefits to help its partners build, run and grow profitable businesses," said Russell. "SAP has long been at the centre of a very intelligent ecosystem. Our partner ecosystem and multi-channel go-to-market is core to our growth strategy, especially in augmenting sales in existing markets and breaking into new ones across all segments."
"SAP works with our partners on all fronts and that's not just for sales, but also for innovation and development of products and value-added offerings," he said.
"Last year, SAP saw outstanding growth in its global partnerships. For example, SAP Business One, one of its core ERP solutions for small and midsize enterprises (SMEs), is sold exclusively through partners and has reached its 50,000th customer," said Russell.
"Nearly 55 percent of all SAP S/4HANA software license deals last year were won by partners and our cloud revenue through partners reported triple-digit growth," he said.
"In this light, SAP will continue to drive business growth through partners in 2016, and develop innovative programmes and initiatives that fuel our mutual success," Russell added.
Accelerating ecosystem growth
"SAP works closely with 13,000 partners worldwide such as yourself to build, service, and sell SAP solutions for customers," he said. "In Southeast Asia, we work with 600 partners to help 10,000 companies of all sizes transition to digital, tackle complexity, grow their business, and 'Run Simple'."
"With your support in Malaysia, we have extended our reach in the marketplace and accelerated our company's growth as well as that of the ecosystem," said Russell, adding that companies in Malaysia today don't tend to question "Why" they need technology, but rather "How" to realise the potential of technology as a "business enabler".
He said that consumer technology and usage was advancing rapidly amongst Malaysians. However, usage of the latest technologies in business has yet to reach their fullest potential, he remarked.
"This gives the SAP ecosystem great room to grow. And that's where we all play an advisory role in addressing their innovation needs to unlock the value that technology brings," Russell said.
"I am convinced that, with SAP S/4 HANA at the core and available in the cloud, SAP and our partners will help customers innovate faster so that they become more efficient and profitable in the long run," he said.
