TCS delivers Qantas new SaaS-based Oracle E-Business Suite solution

TCS and Macquarie Telecom assist Qantas to streamline core system management, processes and vendors.

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), IT services, consulting and business solutions provider, announced today that it has delivered Australian-based airline company, Qantas, with an upgrade to Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12 (R12) provisioned in a Software as a Service (SaaS) model together with Macquarie Telecom.

According to its media statement, the new cloud-based version of Oracle E-Business Suite will provide Qantas with key benefits including enhanced system functionality, reduced system management complexity and unification of vendors.

Kash Paracha, Head of Technology Services, Qantas said that Oracle E-Business Suite R12 is at the core of its business operations, and that TCS has helped the company achieve three key goals with this Oracle ERP Suite upgrade.

She elaborated: "Firstly, we have leveraged the latest ERP functionality available from Oracle enabling greater business agility and a superior user experience. Secondly, we have ensured smooth and stable business operations by virtue of a simplified infrastructure platform. Thirdly, we have consolidated all IT Services under one supplier to ensure vastly improved Quality of Service and usage based billing."
