Splice Machine seeks to deliver hybrid RDBMS as a service

Thor Olavsrud | Feb. 13, 2017
Splice Machine, which specializes in open source SQL RDBMS for mixed operational and analytical workloads, is aiming to offer that capability as a database-as-a-service on AWS.

Splice Machine said it's currently seeking early adopters to evaluate Cloud RDBMS and is offering incentives for companies that sign up. Specifically, it's accepting customers who meet the following criteria:

  • Need to power an application with an RDBMS
  • Need to perform extensive analytics
  • Don't want to have to move data back and forth between data engines
  • Have 5TB to 2PB of data
  • Are able to start a trial this quarter
