Software AG's webMethods platform is being used for AIA Vitality, part of AIA Group comprising a large independent, publicly listed, pan-Asian, life insurance company.
webMethods is an integrated set of technologies and tools used to manage the digital transformation and implement new business designs.
This platform was chosen by Software AG to simplify the integration and flexible reuse of business applications across a heterogeneous and diverse set of platforms.
Software AG is now able to create common services and share them across each country's implementation of AIA Vitality.
"AIA Vitality is a transformational initiative to support healthy living habits, and its rollout has been supported by Software AG, which clearly demonstrated their understanding of our business through their integrated solution," said Andrew Bruce, chief architect, Group Technology and Operations, AIA.
AIA Vitality is a science-backed, wellness programme that enables AIA customers to manage and improve their health more effectively.
According to the company, this programme is popular in Singapore, Australia, Hong Kong and the Philippines.
AIA has created reusable business objects, which has resulted in a more agile business environment and a faster time to market in different regions.
Used by more than 4,000 companies worldwide, Software AG's webMethods platform enables firms such as AIA Vitality to unify and optimise their business-to-business, Mobile, Big Data, Cloud and social applications across a single platform.
"webMethods provides us with the visibility and control that allows us to manage a very dynamic and fast-paced IT environment ensuring we can add new offerings for our customers, or address any issues as soon as they arise," added Bruce.
