Singapore's National Day Parade (NDP) organising committee has leveraged Cisco's video end-points and video-enabled applications solutions to meet their collaboration needs for the upcoming celebrations.
By using Cisco TelePresence and Cisco Jabber, the organising committee was able to efficiently engage with their internal and external agencies during the planning stages of the SG50 NDP celebrations from more than three locations. The solutions allowed the organising committee to have visual communication, coordination, and access to stakeholders across multiple locations concurrently for accelerated planning decisions.
According to Cisco, video is becoming a key part of business collaboration as organisations are increasingly faced with a distributed and mobile workforce, such as that faced by the NDP organising committee. The immediacy of video will thus remove the challenges of distance, and empower teams to collaborate and function to the top of their ability.
"Collaborative technology can expedite decision making, connect a geographically dispersed workforce and break down the barriers for inter and intra agency communication," said Ang Thiam Guan, Managing Director for Singapore and Brunei at Cisco.
One solution that organisations could use to enable better collaboration is the Cisco DX80, a full-featured desktop device that integrates Android applications and delivers no-compromise collaboration. Another solution is the Cisco DX650, which delivers integrated, always-on and highly secure high-definition voice and video communications.
