Location intelligence company Adnear announced yesterday that it will be expanding into Europe with the appointment of Ken Parnham as its new General Manager of Europe.

Based in the new London office, Parnham will be responsible for offering AdNear's services to European advertisers.

Prior to joining the company, Parnham was most recently the Managing Director of TrustE, where he was advising large brands on data and privacy issues. He has also held other key leadership roles in other companies such as OpenX, Wanadoo (Orange-France Telecom) and 24/7 Media.

AdNear's platform combines mobile user data path with proprietary technology, creating customer insights using location data at scale that help advertisers achieve their real-time mobile marketing and offline attribution goals.

To date, the company has profiled more than 700 million device users. In the two years since its foundation, AdNear has rapidly built out from its Singapore headquarters into Australia, South East Asia and Japan.

Having strategically established its proposition in Asia Pacific, AdNear's entry into Europe comes as a logical next step for the company.

"We believe mobile data combined with our proprietary technology is very powerful and unique in its ability to connect the digital user to the real world," said Shobhit Shukla, Chief Revenue Officer of AdNear. "We are excited to grow with our prospective clients by extending our footprint into Europe. Europe marketers can now delve into AdNear's existing audiences or build a set of customised audiences to define their marketing strategy."
