SAS Singapore has appointed Sudipta Sen, regional director of Southeast Asia and chief executive officer of SAS Institute India, the leader for the Singapore market.
Sen will succeed Bill Lee, former country manager of SAS Singapore, until a new country lead is appointed.
The analytics company said this is a role expansion for Sen who will lead SAS' business in Singapore, adding to his current portfolio, which includes India and Thailand.
Sen will set the company's strategic direction in all three markets and support SAS' valued partners in Southeast Asia.
"Singapore's transformation to a business intelligence and analytics hub marks an exciting phase for us as a company," Sen said. "I am excited to be able to tap into the country's rich pool of talent and resources to help grow the sector in Singapore and across the region."
Sen joined SAS Institute in India in 2004 as managing director. He has held senior executive positions in companies such as TATA, IBM and Fujitsu ICIM.
