Rolls Royce Marine —manufacturer of power, propulsion, motion control solutions for the merchant, naval, offshore and submarine markets — recently chose to standardise on Infor as its sole ERP provider.
The move will see 18 non-integrated legacy ERP systems across 90 countries being replaced by one ERP platform to provide a single view of the enterprise. By standardising on one application, the company will be able to improve cost-efficiencies within its business as well as better its environmental profile, said Brandon Phuan, IT delivery director, Rolls Royce Marine.
With Infor implemented across all operations, Rolls Royce Marine expects to gain significant efficiencies in manufacturing, financials, and customer service through improved data quality and integration.
Rolls Royce Marine has also set key metrics that will be used once the implementation is complete. The metrics include improved on-time delivery for customer service and increased collaboration across teams and geographies for efficiency.
