Non-life insurer MSIG Asia will be deploying SAP Core Insurance Platform for its companies in Singapore and Indonesia to streamline operations and enable growth in a fast changing regulatory environment.
The enterprise-wide deployment of SAP's software will integrate most of MSIG Asia's core business functions in the insurance business value chain. The platform will house product design, policy administration, claims and customer service incentives, commission management, billing and payment, reinsurance and data insights. This customer-centric integration will maximise operational efficiencies across different lines of business and locations, lower expenses, and strengthen the business infrastructure, said MSIG Asia in a press statement. The insurer added that automating and standardising core processes will enable it to quickly bring new products to the market while improving customer service and satisfaction.
SAP will employ an engagement delivery model for the implementation of the Core Insurance Platform. This offers MSIG Asia the flexibility to transform and optimise processes to seize new business opportunities while ensuring a fast and cost-efficient deployment of the platform. In a press statement, SAP said that MSIG Asia will be able to harness the power of three delivery organisations -- SAP Active Global Support, SAP Consulting and SAP Custom Development -- under one engagement model.
"[The SAP Core Insurance Platform] is a flexible and scalable solution that enables us to keep pace with the industry's changing customer needs and the dynamic regulatory environment," said Alan Wilson, MSIG Asia's regional CEO. "[Implementing this solution is] a key investment in our infrastructure to enable us to realise our ambitions in Asia."
