Master franchisee of Gloria Jean's Coffees in Malaysia and Brunei, Wonderful Lifestyle has signed with local software firm ICT Utopia to deliver a cash-back rewards programme using QR codes.
Under the agreement, ICT Utopia's Moola rewards programme will offer Gloria Jean's Coffees customers a 10 percent cash-back reward for all beverages excluding food items purchased at all 24 Gloria Jean's Coffees outlets nationwide by just simply being a Moola member.
All they have to do is show their unique QR code ID on their handphone during purchase to be eligible for their cash-back reward, said Wonderful Lifestyle chief executive officer Fauzi Awang, who added the decision to use Moola was its variety of rewards and networks.
"Just let our Barista scan your QR code Moola ID on the Moola app every time you buy a Gloria Jean's Coffees and you'll be rewarded - no cards or stamps needed," said Fauzi. "We are sure that this hassle free mechanism will appeal to our customers, many of whom lead fast paced lives."
Moola project director Ryan Loh said customers who wanted to take advantage of the rewards programme should sign up as a Moola member by downloading the mobile application from the Apple App Store, Google Play Store, and Blackberry App World and then register.
"There is no expiration period for the Moola points collected so customers can collect as many points they like to redeem their rewards or use the points collected to offset payments for their purchases at any Moola Shopz," said Loh. "On top of that, Moola members are also entitled to participate in the Moola Q3 Bonus Draw upcoming this September and also Moola Grand Draw at the end of the year in which the grand prize winner will walk away with a new BMW 320D."
Australian-owned Gloria Jean's Coffees has outlets in over 40 countries, with more than 900 stores worldwide and more than 400 stores in Australia.
