With the retail sector becoming more competitive, Mahindra Satyman is offering a solution that will help retailers maximise their data to improve the bottomline.
The global consulting and IT solutions provider recently launched its business analytics solution called REIMS, or Retail Enterprise Information Management System. The cloud-and mobile-enabled solution includes a range of related processes, such as supply chain management, warehouse management, merchandising, and customer analytics.
Mahindra Satyman is positioning REIMS as a cost-effective and technology-agnostic solution that is scalable and with logical data models and rigorous statistical models to help retailers make key decisions.
Mahindra Satyman said it launched its solution at a time when businesses are considering business intelligence and analytics solutions. Mahindra Satyam cited a Gartner report showing that BI and BA are some of the solutions that CIOs are considering this year.
Mahesh Vasudevanallur, head - Retail & CPG Practice, Mahindra Satyam, said that based on feedback from their retail customers, they need business intelligence built into their retail information systems to avoid decisions based on gut feel.

The modular REIMS can be integrated into the retailer's existing BI systems, thus minimising costs. Mahindra Satyam also offers consulting to help retailers plug in REIMS into their IT infrastructure with minimal changes to the existing IT setup.
