The future of M2M is bright
Gartner today places IoT at the top of its hype cycle for emerging technologies, and predicts another 5 to 10 years before this market reaches full maturity. In the meantime, the Internet of Everything (IoE) is another closely watched disruptive technology based on M2M. IoE not only encompasses things like smart devices, but people, processes and data too. In fact, Time magazine has lauded IoE as the next big thing for tech with game-changing IoE innovations like Subnero. For the first time, true underwater wireless network is a reality with Subnero, enabling communication, navigation, remote monitoring and sensing even in the world's deepest oceans.
Putting aside some security, privacy and regulatory concerns, the future of M2M is bright and promising, driven by the ongoing concerted effort from industry bodies and companies. In the M2M world of tomorrow, everything will be seamlessly interconnected and intelligent, working in unison to redefine the notion of smart living. The applications are simply limitless!
