Eugene Kaspersky, chairman and CEO of Kaspersky Lab, said: "We're glad to be staying in Singapore which has been our home in the region since we reallocated from Hong Kong two years ago. Being in the fastest growing region in the global economy, we're determined to explore the APAC market's full potential and we're ready to move ahead with greater achievements."
He added that Singapore was chosen as the location of its regional headquarters due to the government support for the cybersecurity industry. For instance, the government is working with the industry as well as local educational institutions to develop a bigger pool of cybersecurity professionals in the republic. As such, he sees the potential of building a strong cybersecurity research team in Singapore.
