Juniper Networks recently unveiled a new suite of solutions that aims to bring improved intelligence to today's enterprise networks.
Juniper Networks said it has collaborated with big data solutions provider Guavus to offer the Junos Network Analytics, which combines big data analytics and network intelligence solutions.
The suite includes BizReflex and NetReflex products developed by Guavus and capable of analysing network traffic from IP and Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS). Information derived from the analysis can help service providers to optimise their routing network assets and increase revenue opportunities while attracting and retaining customers.
Prior to Junos Network Analytics, service providers had a difficult time analysing network traffic, particularly with the advent of new technologies that maximise the network infrastructure - technologies such as cloud computing and mobile devices.
"Junos Network Analytics harnesses the power of big data to bring near real-time information to service providers that will scale to their needs and provide a complete business insight solution for IP and MPLS networks. Collaborating with Guavus allows Juniper Networks to provide customers with dynamic solutions that complement Juniper's existing portfolio," said Robert Krohn, senior vice president, Edge Software Business Unit, Juniper Networks.
BizReflex is a network analytics engine and dashboard for business decision makers. It allows them to gather critical intelligence about how customers and their peers interact with the network.
NetReflex is for network architects and operations staff to get detailed traffic data for IP and MPLS networks. By knowing these details, service providers can devise means to reduce cost and improve the efficiency of their networks.
"Our analytics solutions have been built from the ground up to unlock the value of network-generated data by dramatically increasing the speed and scale at which business insights can be delivered and better businesses decisions can be made," said Anukool Lakhina, founder and CEO, Guavus.
Available now are the Junos Network Analytics SKUs while subscription-based pricing will be on Juniper's price list in June 2013.
