Supply chain solutions provider Intermec has launched an enhanced version of its partner programme - PartnerNet - at a recent partner summit of Malaysian supply chain companies in Penang, Malaysia,

Speaking in early March 2012, Intermec vice president and general manager for the Asia Pacific region, Mike Muller, said PartnerNet 2012 would bring the Malaysian supply chain innovators, as well as those in ASEAN, closer together and increase technology access.

Muller said that the company's PartnerNet, which was launched in Asia Pacific in 2010, currently comprised more than 4,000 innovative organisations around the world. "[This] provides Malaysian supply chain partners with access to a network of highly skilled businesses worldwide that are dedicated to delivering high-value solutions for the benefit of our mutual customers. The programme has received numerous accolades and awards since its launch, including a prestigious five-star rating in CRN's 2011 Partner Programs Guide."

"The ASEAN region is a huge growth area for Intermec, and the enhancements to the PartnerNet programme reflects our decision to invest heavily in the region and help to drive growth," he said. "The region's economy, comparable to the rest of the world, is growing and continuing to provide opportunities. And in conjunction with the partners who have been recognised in our awards, we're confident that we will continue to service the sectors we work within better than anyone else."

 Supply chain leadership

As part of the company's commitment to recognising supply chain leadership in the ASEAN region, Intermec also announced their regional partner awards at the Partner Summit in Penang.

"The Intermec partner awards recognise leading technology partners and resellers who have generated substantial business and demonstrated true supply chain innovation over the past 12 months for sectors as diverse as transport and logistics, cargo, healthcare and retail," said Muller, adding that among the businesses recognised at the Partner Summit Awards were:

  • Partner of the Year - Grand-Flo Spritvest, Malaysia
