Honeywell Aerospace launches new apps, updates two existing ones

Avionics developer says these will enhance the efficiency of pilots, maintainers and operators.

Honywell Aerospace has launched two new mobile apps and updated two existing ones, according to a press statement by the Phoenix, Arizona-based avionics developer.

The two new mobile apps are Pilot Gateway and My-Maintainer while the two updated apps are MyGDC version 3.1 and Direct Access Version 4.0.

The press statement said the new and the updated apps have been developed to enhance the efficiency of pilots, maintainers and operators.

The first new app is accessible through Honeywell Aerospace's Pilot Gateway Website.

Easy Access

The company said that it Pilot Gateway app has been designed by pilots to provide easy access to Honeywell training materials, manuals, videos and resources.

My-Maintainer enables maintenance personnel to wirelessly access information at the gate and perform fault analysis for data stored on the aircraft through Honeywell Data LAN Management Unit Wireless (DLMU-w) system.

My GDC Version 3.1 brings new services from Honeywells's Global Data Center (GDC) to business aviation pilots , while continuing to provide worldwide flight planning for users.

Optimised for iOS8, some new updates would be 3-D mapping integration and integration of U.S. Digital IFR Enroute Charts (High/Low) and VFR Sectional map layers for flight planning and route visualization.

Direct Version Access Version 4.0 provides business aircraft pilots and flight departments with easy access to Honeywell's customer support, according to the statement.
