Cloud developer acquires 6 new customers, 5 Go-lives within 5 week period

Cloud solutions developer Ramco Systems Ltd has acquired six new customers in the Middle East and Africa  for its HR and talent management solution, HCM on Cloud in the past five weeks and they are among the largest business conglomerates in the region, the Indian vendor announced early November.

"The six new customers will together add more than 30,000 users for Ramco HCM," a press statement by the vendor announced.

The six were the following: Sharal DG, a retail chain employing 8000 personnel in 13 countries in the United Arab Emirates, Gulf Coast countries, and the Far East, Engsol,an engineering consultancy firm with head offices in Abu Dhabi, the Daar Yaas group, a retail group with a presence in the UAE, North Africa, and Egypt, Al Shabab Club, one of Abu Dhabi's top sports clubs, Blue Nile Mashreq Bank, among North Africa's leading banks, and Nesma, a diversified business conglomerate in Saudi Arabia, of over 40 companies and with a total of over  25,000 employees.

At the same time, Ramco Systems announced the  Go-live of five HCM customers to bring in more than 15,000 new users in the Middle East and Africa. The customers were not identified.

The statement noted that all the new customer acquisitions and Go-Lives had taken place within the previous five weeks, a record described as the vendor's "highest ever booking ".

Ramco HCM on Cloud launched globally last June and the solution can be extended to mobile devices. It has interchangeable cloud and On-Premise modeled solutions.

"The success of the recently-launched HCM on Cloud is a testimony to the fact that the product brings a good mix of global standards with local requirements," the statement quoted Ramco Systems CEO Virender Aggarwal as saying.

He said the vendor firm is currently and aggressively building its network and product features to compete in global markets.

Times of India article last February described Ramco Systems as harboring ambitions to challenge Oracle and SAP for global leadership in the enterprise applications market.

Its head office is in Chennai, India and forms part of the more than US $ 1 billion Ramco group. Established in 1989, its other enterprise suites include solutions for ERP, analytics, aviation, and GRP or government resource planning.
