Global publisher HarperCollins has brought in Digital River to manage global web commerce and online payments for consumer ebook sales of its CS Lewis titles across the US and UK.
The recently redesigned www.cslewis.com and www.narnia.com websites feature a digital collection of ebooks. Digital River joined forces with Supad in building out the complete online shopping experience for HarperCollins' customers.
Chantal Restivo-Alessi, chief digital officer at HarperCollins, said: "Whether consumers want to make purchases from a brick-and-mortar store, an online retailer, or from an author brand site, we have a solution to meet their needs and to make our authors' products accessible to them."
World Archipelago, a London-based creative technology agency, provided the front end web development for the HarperCollins sites powered by the Supad CMS (content management system) platform.
The sites are integrated into Digital River's commerce-as-a-service platform, which is facilitating ebook transactions, including handling global payments, tax and compliance management, fraud prevention, security and order management.
HarperCollins CS Lewis ebook products, including classics such as The Magician's Nephew; The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe; and The Horse and His Boy, as well as other popular titles, are available from the new sites.
