There exists a potential large-scale, long-term win-win situation as organisations strive to reap the benefits of getting into cloud and M2M. If they move swiftly but sure-footedly, telcos are aptly positioned to carve themselves a pivotal and profitable role in this emerging value chain. Strategic partnerships with innovative hardware, software and services companies will accelerate the drive towards standards, critical mass and adoption.
