Get the most out of Finder views

You can save time by learning when to use Icon, List, Column, or Cover Flow view.

One disadvantage of Quick Look is that its floating window appears only when you're in the Finder. If you switch to another program, it disappears. It doesn't close, though; just switch back to the Finder to see it again. Press the spacebar to dismiss it.

Increase your Finder smarts

You spend a lot of time in the Finder, so learning about its many possibilities can save you time and give you more power over your files and folders. Mastering Finder views is one of the first steps to becoming a Mac power user.
