Imaging and printing company Fuji Xerox has recently made two announcements about the expansion of its suit of solutions and enhancement of global communications through its cloud services.

The company has introduced the new series of multifunction devices, the ApeosPort-V/DocuCentre-V C7775 Series, which it says will empower businesses to make the transition to the smart offices of the future

This device was recently released in the Asia-Pacific region.

"These flagship devices incorporate the latest controller software, to provide universal operability and software functions, aiding customers in streamlining their business operations and resolving their everyday issues with usage of MFDs," the company said in a statement.

The ApeosPort-V/DocuCentre-V C7775 series becomes an integral part of a company's workflow when utilised with the Fuji Xerox suite of solutions, serving also as a hub and a portal, the MFD functions as a "Smart Work Enabler", company sources added.

The company said the Smart Work Enabler delivers a competitive edge to organisations and helps drive revenue by helping customers increase productivity, streamline efficiencies, enable cost efficiency and control security, all while protecting the environment.

Scan Translation Service

Fuji Xerox has also launched enhanced Scan Translation Service, a cloud service that promotes global communication, starting November 25 in Japan and Asia-Pacific countries. This includes South Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Philippines, Australia and New Zealand.

Scan Translation Service facilitates global communications by streamlining the translation process when users need to grasp the gist of a document written in a foreign language to determine its importance or urgency, or to facilitate communications between people who speak different languages, the company said in a statement.

In addition to translation between Japanese and English, Chinese (simplified and traditional) and Korean, the enhanced service now offers direct translation from English to Chinese (simplified and traditional) and Korean. Also, the user interface and operation manual are now available in English, Chinese (simplified and traditional) and Korean, enabling users whose mother tongue is not Japanese to easily use the service.

By linking the Scan Translation Service to the Fuji Xerox cloud service that supports document sharing, documents in DocuWorks and PDF formats can be translated using Scan Translation Service directly from the cloud with a simple operation.

A tool to access Scan Translation Service is available in the 20 models of the ApeosPort-V C and the DocuCentre-V C series, said the imaging and printing company.
